04.1.2010Nate Quarry came up short in his UFC fight against Jorge Rivera. But we are proud of him, and he will be back in the gym soon. 03.15.2010Two more wins for Team Next Level! Anna Folkesson won her fight on Saturday by 2nd round TKO. Peter Aspenwall won his fight by 2nd round submission. Congratulations to both! 03.06.2010Janna Piper had a tough first round, but hung in there to win her fight by unanimous decision on Saturday, March 6th at the Roseland Theater in downtown Portland. Great job Janna! 02.25.2010Over last weekend Brendan Barrett dominated his opponent at the Tropicana in New Jersey. Brendan chose Next Level & Greg's expertise to get ready for this fight. 02.12.2010 Next Level Martial Arts has several students competing in the SubLeague this Saturday. If you get a chance, head out to Liberty High School off Cornelius Pass Rd. and give your support and see some of the local grappling talent. 01.29.2010 The Resolution No-Gi Tournament commenced a couple weeks ago & your fellow NLMA students put on an excellent showing. 12.26.2009Happy holidays folks! We're proud to welcome UFC veteran Chris Leben who is training with us for a month getting ready for his fight with Jay Silva at Ultimate Fight Night 20 January 11th, in Fairfax VA.
Congratulations to BJ San Nicolas who won his fight via TKO in the 1st round at the AX Fighting in Washington Nov. 28th! Also, Dec. 16th Alex Nutter, Alex Le, Nick Becker & Billy Hannan won their divisions at the Horizon Cup BJJ championships. Congratulations to them and our BJJ coach Dan Swartout! 12.15.2009Next Level Martial Arts is moving to a bigger and better location! We will be closing 12/24/09 for the holidays and to move, and we are going re-open on 12/28/09 at our new location. Our new address 6830 SW Bonita Rd Tigard, Or. 10.20.2009Last Saturday (October 10th) Next Level Martial Arts had 4 guys fight at the Capital City Cage fights in Salem, OR. We had a great showing, and had great support for our athletes in the crowd.
Eddie Dahlen claimed the 145lb title by dominating his opponent for five rounds to win by unanimous decision. Nate Bethal came up short in his 185lb title fight, he had his opponent hurt but got clipped in an exchange of punches, and the ref saw fit to stop the fight. Shams Moussasoui won his first MMA fight by tapout due to strikes in the first round. Marques Daniels won his pro MMA fight by rear choke in the first round. Thanks to everyone from Next Level Martial Arts for their support and help! We look to perform even better next time! If you haven't been in for class, come see us. We have a great time and everyone treats each other like family! 08.24.2009UFC 102 is this weekend! Ed Herman and Chris Leben have been training with Next Level Martial Arts for this fight, and they are looking super tough!!!!! Please give them our support.
Next Level Martial Arts has sent out an online survey a couple of weeks ago. If could fill it out and send it back to us it would be greatly appreciated. Nate Quarry is fighting Sept 16th against Tim Creduer. After his last fight in the UFC, Nate is looking to leave his mark on yet another fighter. Tyrell Butikofer, Eddie Dahlen, Marques Daniels, Nate Bethal, and Mike Sixel are all fighting at the Capital City Cage Fights Oct 10th in Salem, Or. Tickets will be on sale soon. Try to go and show your support. 07.15.2009NLMA is hosting a fund-raising car wash with all proceeds going to cancer research. It is saturday July 25th from noon to 4, hope to see everyone there!

Ed Herman defeated David Louiseau by unanimous decision. Ed dominated Louiseau for all three rounds.
Andreas Correa is fighting in the FCFF this May 2nd. This will be a 145lb title fight. On May 30th Andreas and Nate Bethal will be fighting in Salem at the Capital City Cage Fights. Please come out a give support to our guys! Starting the week of May 18th, Next Level Martial Arts will be making some changes to its schedule. Kurt Shrout won the senior purple belt division at the Pan American Championships. There is no Saturday am classes April 11th due to the Capital City Cage fights in Salem. Come support our fighter! 03.19.2009Join Metabolic Adaptation in wishing Nate “Good Luck” on his next big UFC fight in Canada on April 18th. Nate Quarry trains right here at Next Level MMA Gym in Tigard—so does Ed “Short Fuse” Herman who is also fighting in UFC 97. Mike Dolce, Andreas Correa and Greg Thompson will also be attending. Saturday, March 28th, 1-4pm.
